CLIENT SATISFACTION

The fundamental tenet of chiropractic practice states that the central nervous system needs to function at optimal capacity for the human body to perform to its potential. Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy which allow this to happen.

Chiropractic Premise

Chiropractic does not look to treat diseases or specific conditions. Rather, we correct poor spinal movement and balance to improve nervous system function, an essential factor in helping the body achieve a state of optimal well-being.

The following is a list of terms you will come to know on your chiropractic journey, presented here to deepen your understanding of the principles behind the practice.

Innate intelligence

Innate intelligence flows through our central nervous system to coordinate the self-regeneration of damaged cells and direct our body to function properly. It is innate intelligence which animates our bodies with life.

Subluxation

A subluxation is a blockage which occurs when our central nervous system fails to assimilate environmental stress. It causes interference to the flow of innate intelligence within us. Subluxations diminish our body’s capacity to function fully and can lead to sickness and disease.

Causes of subluxation:

Emotions and Thoughts

All emotions that we experience produce a chemical reaction in the brain’s hypothalamus which affects the physiology of our entire body. An unstable emotional life, therefore, alters our biochemistry and can cause subuxations.

Chemical Toxins

Preservatives, processed foods, polluted environments and drug usage are just some of the way that toxins can enter our central nervous system and impede its functionality.

Traumas

Traumas may come in many forms: accidents, falls, sporting injuries, childbirth… Whatever the cause, the result is diminished performance in our central nervous system and a consequent impact on our vitality.

Adjustment

Chiropractors locate vertebral subluxations and adjust them to allow innate intelligence to flow with maximum power and clarity to all of the seventy five trillion cells in our body. A chiropractic adjustment is the application of a very precise force on a subluxated vertebra.

Only a qualified Chiropractor can make an adjustment.
